Monofonie

bzw. -phonie bedeutet in der Musik Einstimmigkeit. Monofone Instrument .html">Akkord .html"> (Melodieinstrument)e eingesetzt, während polyfone Instrumente auch als Harmonieinstrument | (Harmonieinstrument)e eingesetzt werden können.

Beispiele

Zu den monofonen Instrumenten zählen beispielsweise die meisten Blech- und Holzblasinstrumente. Monofone Instrumente:
