Der mobile Pentium der Firma Intel | (Intel) (auch Pentium M genannt ist eine Variante des Desktop-Pentium. Er ist stromsparend und kommt deshalb der Akkulaufzeit des Notebooks zu gute. Der Pentium M kann Teile seines Kerns bzw. Teilbereiche der CPU abschalten, die momentan nicht benötigt werden. Er ist aufgrund dieser Eigenschaft auch einem gleichgetakteten Desktop-Prozessor in einigen Punkten überlegen. Mobile Prozessoren werden auch in Desktop-Computern genutzt um die Lautstärke zu verringern und Strom zu sparen.
