Er geriet in kirchliche Kritik. Man warf ihm Pantheismus | (Pantheismus) vor. Gleichwohl verzeichnete er einen regen Zulauf seitens interessierter Menschen. 1911 | (1911) erfolgte seine Amtsenthebung.
