ist ein umfangreiches Aktions- und Reformprogramm der Europäischen Union .html"> (EU-Erweiterung). Die Agenda 2000 wurde auf dem Europäischen Rat .html"> (26. März) 1999 .html"> (1997) durch die Europäische Kommission | (Europäische Kommission) erarbeitet worden. Kernpunkte der Agenda 2000 sind
  • die Reform der Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik | (Gemeinsame Agrarpolitik|Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik) (GAP
  • die Reform der Strukturfonds | (Strukturfonds)
  • die Weiterentwicklung der Instrumente zur Vorbereitung auf den EU-Beitritt der Länder von Ost- und Mitteleuropa
  • die Verabschiedung eines neuen Finanzrahmens für den Zeitraum 2000-2006.
